When: Wednesday, March 6, 2018 at 7 p.m.

One College Road, Batavia Campus - Room T102 Conable Technology Building

Background: Genesee Community College's History Club invites everyone to the Historical Horizons Lecture Series taking place on the Batavia campus on the first Wednesday of every month during the academic year.

On Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at 7 p.m., Dr. Richard Bailey, associate professor of History at Canisius College in Buffalo, and author of Race and Redemption in Puritan New England, will explore how colonial New Englanders used their ideological convictions and practices to make sense of their new world that included people of varying ethnic identities. As these newly established New England residents wrestled with the dilemma of life in colorful and changing communities, they created not only opportunities for themselves and others, but also limitations that their descendants would struggle with in the decades to follow.

The lecture begins at 7 p.m. in room T102 of the Conable Technology Building, is free and open to the public.
