GCC Postpones Seventh Annual Orleans County Heritage Heroes Awards
Ceremony to be Rescheduled for September 2020
Batavia, NY (04/20/2020) — Albion, New York - Genesee Community College and the Orleans Hub are postponing the announcement of the award winners for the Seventh Annual Orleans County Heritage Heroes Award due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Heritage Heroes Awards recognize the passion and hard work of dedicated citizens in Orleans County who strive to protect and preserve local history. The selection process for this year's program was in its final stages when the pandemic unfolded. As a result, the selection process will resume at the beginning of July, and awardees will be announced by July 15, 2020. All previous submissions of nominees for this year remain in consideration.
An awards ceremony recognizing this year's Heritage Heroes will be scheduled for mid-September at Genesee Community College in Albion, 456 West Ave., Albion, NY 14411.
