Batavia, NY (07/11/2019) — What: Cougar Classic Golf Scholarship Scramble and Paint for a Riesling Event - Last chance to sign up!!

When: Monday, July 22, 2019

Where: Stafford Country Club, 8873 Morganville Road (Rte. 237) in Stafford

Who: Golf Scramble and Painting Event are open to the public - but register now, time is running out!

Registration will close next week for Genesee Community College's Fourth Cougar Classic Golf Scholarship Scramble and Paint for a Riesling Event - reserve your spot today before it's too late!

Each year the Cougar Classic event raises precious funds to provide much-needed scholarships to GCC students and the Scholarship Scramble golfers get:

18 holes w/cart at Stafford Country Club

All beverages (Beer & Nonalcoholic)

Lunch during registration (Hotdogs & Beverages)

Gift Bag (Golf Towel, Tees, Ball Marker and other surprises)

Dinner with a cash bar

Opportunity to enter 50/50 raffle and other great prize raffles

"The Cougar Classic is a favorite event for many each year," said Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs Jennifer Wakefield. "The teams of golfers have so much fun, we get to see so many friendly faces and knowing that the whole event helps students in our region get a college degree from GCC is a really powerful motivator."

Participants from prior years asked for the event to include an opportunity for non-golfers- so Paint for a Riesling was added this year. For $75 per person, one can participate in a winetasting from the Leonard Oakes Winery and painting with Art Ah La Carte! as well as enjoy dinner (Alternatively, the wine tasting and painting session without dinner is $50 per person.)
