A Unique Performance of Dance and Puppetry Coming to Genesee Community College
Batavia, NY (10/08/2024) — Genesee Community College is excited to present Anthology of Fantastic Zoology: A New Work of Dance and Puppet Theater, created by Joshua Lang. The performance will take place at the Stuart Steiner Theatre on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 7:30 p.m.
Joshua Lang, a former GCC student and professional choreographer, brings this innovative blend of ballet and puppetry to the stage, combining the talents of GCC theatre students and the Rochester City Ballet. The production is made possible through a special grant awarded to Lang and the Rochester City Ballet, supporting this collaborative endeavor.
The performance will explore the art of storytelling through movement and imaginative puppetry, offering a truly unique experience for the audience. The event is free and open to the public, with seating on a first-come, first-serve basis at the Stuart Steiner Theatre on the Batavia campus of Genesee Community College.
