Who: This play is not recommended for anyone under the age of 16

Synopsis: "9 CIRCLES," is a modern tragedy by Bill Cain. Loosely based on a true story, Cain weaves the tale of a young American Soldier who is accused of horrific crimes. This heartbreaking story questions everything you believe about war and the military. It also ties in Dante's "9 Circles of Hell."

The play will be performed by The Forum Players, Genesee Community College's Theatre majors November 11-13 in the Stuart Steiner Theatre. This play is not recommended for anyone under the age of 16, scenes may be too intense for some audience members.

Tickets are available for purchase online:

  • $10 General Admission
  • $5 for GCC Faculty/Staff, Seniors 55+, Children under 16 & Non-GCC Students
  • $0 GCC Students (with ID)

All Veterans of the U.S. Military will receive free admission with military I.D. Limited seating available, reservations are recommended. Email boxoffice@genesee.edu with any questions.

"9 CIRCLES" was developed at the Ojai Playwrights Conference, Robert Egan, Artistic Director and South Coast Repertory's Pacific Playwrights Festival, Martin Benson and David Emmes, Producing Artistic Directors. Winner of the 2010 Sky Cooper New American Play Prize at Marin Theatre Company, where it received its world premiere under the leadership of Jasson Minadakis, Artistic Director and Ryan Rilette, Producing Director.
