The Rosalie "Roz" Steiner Art Gallery Presents GCC Student Digital Art & Photography Show 2026
Batavia, NY (04/14/2026) — The annual GCC Student Digital Art & Photography Show is back! This year's show will demonstrate the skills students have learned throughout their art classes. This exhibit emphasizes work in observation, abstraction, mixed-media, portraiture, and developing artistic imagination. The show will feature student work from the Digital Art and Photography courses. Over the academic year, students have completed projects in advertising, animation, cyanotype fabric prints, typography, dream images, record and book cover designs, digital art prints, black and white film photography that is developed in a dark room, and digital photography.
The 2026 exhibit is one filled with depth and vibrant color. Inspiration for student work was found in nature, architecture, animals, and anatomy studies. With well over 100 pieces, the gallery is bursting with artistic imagery and photographic studies.
The exhibit runs from April 16 - May 7, 2026 with artist receptions on Thursday, April 23, from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Roz Steiner Art Gallery on GCC's Batavia Campus. Refreshments will be served at both receptions. The GCC Fine Arts faculty chooses to award photographs and artwork that showcase artistic vision and a mastery of technical skills. Awards for these pieces will be presented to the students during the evening reception. Join us at 5:00 p.m. in the Roz Steiner Art Gallery on April 23 to see the awards presentation. Come celebrate a year of great achievement for our Digital Art & Photography students.
Gallery hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Wednesdays, 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
