Sara McCollum Inducted into Genesee's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

Genesee Community College's Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society inducted new members on Tuesday, May 8 at the Celebration of Excellence held in the Richard C. Call Arena.

The mission of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize academic achievement of college students and to provide opportunities for them to grow as scholars and leaders.

Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society is the largest honor society for two-year colleges world wide with approximately 1,300 chapters that span 50 states and 9 nations . Students eligible for membership must complete a minimum of 12 hours of associated degree course work and earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher. Students must maintain a high academic standing throughout their enrollment in the two-year college, a 3.3 GPA.
